About Us

The WTWMA serves as an convective rain enhancement project for 6 counties of West Texas and the City of San Angelo. Starting in 1995, the WTWMA is the longest active weather modification project in the state. Evaluations have shown that the efforts of the WTWMA boost rainfall by an additional 15% per year, or an additonal 2″ of precpitation. The WTWMA is licensed and permited by the Texas Department of Licesning and Regulation.
